Burst Pipes While Away from Home

While in Florida, we received a late-night phone call from our daughter telling us that our home in New England was badly damaged by water from the bursting of frozen pipes. We flew home the next day and were shocked and devastated by what we saw. The entire central part of our home from the 2nd floor to the cellar was affected by water damage. Walls and ceilings dripping, rugs ruined, most of the furniture, clothes, bedding, and personal items and two bathrooms were ruined. The cellar had 5 feet of water that ruined the furnace, washer and dryer as well as additional personal items. We were overwhelmed with what we faced and had no idea where to turn.
